Known as Cathy, Catherine Astrid Salome Freeman, is one of the most important sporty icons in Australia. Cathy was born in Mackay, Queensland and she is the first aborigine ever to compete in the Olympics.

Despite of all her achievements, Cathy had a difficult childhood having experiemented the racism against aboriginals. In the Olympics of 2000 in Sydney, Freeman won the gold medal in the 400 meters in those games. That was an important event because was the first time that the Aboriginal flag was waving in an important event such as the Olympics in which the best sportives all over the world show their abilities.

Although all of these achievements has been important for her life, she hadnt has a perfect life. During her childhood she won her first gold medal at a school athletics championship when she just had eight- years- old. Furthermore, her family was really poor and like many Aboriginals, suffered a wide discrimination from the white Australians. Once, after winning many competitions at the school, Cathy had to watch how the school gave her trophies to the white girls she had beaten just because they thought, she didn't deserve to receive them. Facing that, her family started to working pretty hard in order to help her to reach big competitions.

Cathy Freeman should be consider as a good example for overpassing difficulties in our life. Despite of the discrimination she had suffered, she keep reaching her dreams untill finally she was the first Aborigine to won a Gold medal in the Olympics.

For several years, Australia is perhaps one of the countries around the world considerated as an isolated country due to the big gap between this and other countries. However, Australia has been a really good place for living and studying looking at the last surveys which shows that this wide country has been called as a "Paradise" in the downunder.

Furthermore, the life in Australia enclose other aspects such as family values, working, among others. Living in an Australia's family is very interesting because they have a completelly lifestyle, begining with the really traditional bbqs (barbecues) on the weekends finishing with going to the movies, spending time in its beautiful beaches in the company of friends and of course the family.

Australia has beautiful scenaries that mix its unique fauna and flora through all the country, offering to the foreigners and native people a new alternative to enjoy the time at these beautiful places. In addition, in Australia is really common starting to be independent since being a teenager, thats why most of the young people begins to find a job in order to have their own budget to spend on.

As a result, the family life in Australia is unique because it is a mix between independence and a friendly place for sharing with all the integrants of the family.

The purpose of the first seven deadly sins is that people have a kind of rules to comply and thus have a better quality of life. But just a few days ago the Vatican has created some new deadly sins, thereby bringing exists less debauchery and bad habits that affect mankind and to live as a good Catholic.

To conclude, in my opinion I say that the world is not going to change just because the church introduced the new 7 deadly sins, perhaps be achieved sensitize people about the great problems that through this society and that without it since ourselves may never improve and get to have a full life, happy and calm.

Envy, as a social problem

The current society live in a capitalist world where the material possessions, marked a very important axis in the way they can get to develop an individual in society. Because of this generates a series of jealousy of each other, as the desire to win that is at hand, and is always looking for what has been acquired by another.
The envy, referred to by the Catholic Church as a sin capital, is one of the biggest problems that have been presented throughout history, coveting things that are not carried cause, including damage to loved ones.
Many believe that happiness is found in material things which makes the anti envy more value expressed by today's society, it becomes the perfect tool for turning people into mere objects of consumption that are always going to want more.
Thus, the envy should be pushed aside, because happiness can be found in loved ones, love and tranquillity, not the material things that others may have, but which, in turn, lack of people to enjoy them as well .

A PLACE TO VISIT

Finland is a country that you some day have to visit, it is a country where you can go to relax yourself and to be facinated with all the landscapes and the contrast betwen the seasons, it seems like is a diferent place in each season, the cold, white and long winter that almost take 6 months, the the yellow and orange autum, and the longest sunny day in summer.

It is located in the Scandinavian Peninsula, in the north of Europe, between Russia and Sweden, the capital is Helsinki, it is a country with really organizated and good economy, with very few natural recuros, the most important thing that they have is a lot of wood to export and manufacture paper, and they have of course one of the biggest companies the Nokia.

The culture have some interesting staff, for example, they take off their shoes before entering in a house, the sauna is the most importan tradition for finnish people, they go after be really hot inside the sauna, to swim few seconds in the frozen lake, or make angels in the snow. The food tends to be very healthy, they eat meat of moose and much fish and potatoes.

Finns do not talk much, but they are very helpful when someone asks for help, they much enjoy sports and particularly those that can be done in winter, like skiing, snowboarding, and skyjumping.

If you want to visit the real Santa Claus in his spectacular home in the arctic circle, you should definitely go to finland.
